With his dynamic, elegant, and intelligently conceived interpretations, Kent Nagano has shown that he is one of the foremost and most innovative Beethoven conductors of our time. His live performances and recordings of this composer with the OSM have been acclaimed by critics at home and abroad, and have been warmly received by audiences. This evening, Nagano leads the OSM, the Festival Choral Ensemble, and four great soloists in what is, along with the Ninth Symphony, this Viennese composer’s great testament to the human spirit for chorus and orchestra, the Missa solemnis.
