Gordon Bintner

Canadian bass-baritone Gordon Bintner has built a broad and impressive operatic and concert repertoire from Mozart to Berlioz, Strauss and Janacek, among many others.

This season, Mr. Bintner debuted at the San Francisco Opera in the title-role in Eugene Onegin and returned to the Canadian Opera Company as the Count in Le Nozze di Figaro and to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden as Albert in Werther. Future projects include a debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and returns to the Opéra National de Paris, the Royal Opera House and the COC.

Last season, Mr. Bintner returned to the COC as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte and made debuts at the Opéra National de Paris as Junior in Bernstein’s A Quiet Place (a role he recorded with the OSM for Decca) conducted by Kent Nagano, and at the Royal Opera House as Guglielmo in Così Fan Tutte, conducted by Julia Jones.
