The Festival de Lanaudière unveils three concerts just in time for the holidays!


Joliette, December 7, 2023 — The Festival de Lanaudière is pleased to launch ticket sales to three concerts in its 2024 season at the Amphithéâtre Fernand-Lindsay, starting now and just in time for the holidays!


With these concerts, audiences will discover or rediscover the world-class Freiburg Baroque Orchestra performing the complete Brandenburg Concertos and legendary mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter in an evening of French popular songs.


“Here is a glimpse of our upcoming season, which once again promises unique encounters and extraordinary musical experiences,” stated the Festival’s Artistic Director Renaud Loranger. “These artists will make only one stop in North America this summer, and that’s with us, confirming once more that Lanaudière is a leading hub of classical music on the continent!”


The Festival de Lanaudière’s 47th will run July 5 to August 4, 2024.

The Freiburg Baroque Orchestra’s renown as royalty among European orchestras transcends borders. This ensemble has been crowned by multiple awards for its discography, which stands among the most extensive of our time. The celebrated musical contingent from Germany offers us their kaleidoscopic vision of the world of Bach—a North American exclusive—with the composer’s iconic Brandenburg Concertos alongside works by Bach’s equally illustrious contemporary Antonio Vivaldi. An imagined meeting of two musical giants, in two concerts that celebrate this orchestra’s return to Quebec after a decade.
