Opening Concert: the OSM and Payare in Beethoven’s Ninth

In the history of music, there are few works that remain as powerful and iconic as Beethoven’s Ninth. Its Ode to Joy, with its compelling humanistic message inspired by the evocative poetry of Schiller, is a universally familiar melody that never fails to elicit an extraordinarily emotional and celebratory response. For the first time in over fifteen years, this legendary symphonic call to peace, fellowship and love will resound throughout the Amphitheatre, with an elite vocal quartet, Rafael Payare and the OSM kicking off the Festival de Lanaudière’s 2023 edition!
