An Evening in Vienna

Church of Sainte-Mélanie

Presented by:

Vienna at the turn of the 19th century, home to Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, then later, Brahms, and many others… The highly concentrated artistic ferment of Vienna gave rise to some of history’s most exquisite masterpieces. Music sounded at every turn, and while certainly performed in the city’s great concert halls, it was also played in homes, among friends— as here, between musicians from the Quebec orchestral scene, reunited for the first time.
